Hiking Trip

Nine day adventure with emphasis on hiking in the breathtaking setting of the mountains on Vancouver Island. We will enjoy shorter and longer hikes, as well as adventuring by canoe and embarking on a day cruise on Nootka Sound to see the awe-inspiring West Coast.

This all-inclusive adventure package includes stay at the rustic adventure lodge, hearty food, and all the adventures. Group size limited to 6-8 participants. Travel up to Campbell River is not included. Extra days in Vancouver available on request, depending on availability.

Itinerary

  • Saturday: arrive at the Burgi Adventure Lodge and settle in.
  • Sunday: perimeter hike. PM: paddling Elk Arm, picnic in Elk River delta, paddling back at dusk
  • Monday: all day bluff trail hike. Swim, picnic.
  • Tuesday + Wednesday: overnight hiking trip.
  • Thursday: optional whalewatching (extra cost), or day around the lodge
  • Friday: paddling on Quinsam Lake or Brewster/Amor Lake
  • Saturday: day cruise to Nootka Island – experience the open pacific coast.
  • Sunday: wrap up and departure.
